CFD using Power
To the right are equations for the resistance a flow element produces in a laminar flow.  One merely multiplies the resistance by flow to find the differential pressure across the element.  To find the flow rate produced by a given pressure differential is more complicated.  Unlike electrical resistors, the resistance is not constant (Ohm's Law). Fluid resistance varies with velocity of the flow.  An iterative scheme is required to find the volume flow rate.   For a full development of these equations, including how to analyze a turbulent flow field and a method for using them in a CFD model please see the Physics Download.
